Jane Street Townhouse The landmarked façade of this 1800’s townhouse was all that was retained as part of a complete interior and exterior renovation. Working with a clean slate, the gardens were designed for a vibrant young family interested in spaces for play and entertaining. In order to provide light to the new basement level yoga studio and guestroom, the rear yard was excavated. The resulting bi-level back garden features a steel catwalk and custom river rock waterfall that spans both garden levels. A “floating” limestone bench, raised plant beds, vine covered walls and custom built-ins provide the perfect backdrop in which to entertain family and friends.
