Greenwich Residence - In Development

Located in the waterfront community of Belle Haven in Greenwich, Connecticut, the landscape for this year-round residence was designed in conjunction with an extensive remodel/expansion of the main house. RKLA worked closely with the project architect to seamlessly integrate the architecture and the landscape. Working with the existing grades of the main house and swimming pool, the steeply sloped site presented a challenge. A series of terraced areas, steps and stone retaining walls were designed to allow for a more accessible landscape. In addition to the grading and drainage issues that were addressed during the design phase, much effort was put into planning for the preservation of the site’s many mature plantings prior to construction.
